Real Madrid tops Deloitte’s European football money league for the eighth year running, matching Manchester United’s reign between 1996-97 and 2003-04. The Spanish club earned €513m ($650m) in the 2011-12 season, 7% up on the previous year. The top six places remained unchanged, but Manchester City stormed into the top ten. Its revenues rose by 51%, thanks to winning the English Premier League and a (brief) appearance in the UEFA Champions League. Half of the top ten are now English clubs.
