Unlike other, more serious award ceremonies, the Razzies – or Golden
Raspberry Awards – celebrate the worst that cinema has to offer every year.
John Wilson, who came up with the idea 30 years ago, said: "The Razzies are
the most egalitarian of award shows. If you weren't listening to what we're
saying, it looks just like a real awards show, but we're reading horrible
critics' quotes and saying snarky things. And it's shorter than the Oscars."
